Section Bass – Per Service
70 service minimum 26/27 per service rate: $181.19 Application Deadline: Sunday March 29th, 2026 Invited: Monday April 6th, 2026 Live Audition: Saturday May 16th, 2026 Employment beginning in September 2026 About the Position The Omaha Symphony is seeking a Bass player for the position of Section Bass – Per Service. This position has a 70-service minimum. The Omaha Symphony’s season is stylistically diverse, and equal emphasis is placed on public performances and education/community engagement programs. Some travel will be required within the Omaha Metro area. Compensation and Benefits The 2026/2027 season is 38 weeks. The service rate for this position in the 2026/27 season will be $181.19, for a guaranteed salary of $12,683.30. Benefits include paid sick leave, partially subsidized instrument insurance, and up to 4% match on an employer-sponsored 403(b) retirement fund. Audition Process This will be a multi-round live audition. All Rounds will be held on Saturday May 16, 2026, in Omaha at the Holland Performing Arts Center. Core, Tenure-Track Application Deadline: March 29th, 2026 Notice of Invitation: April 6th, 2026 Preliminary & Semi-Final Rounds: May 10th-11th, 2026 Final Round: Tuesday May 12th, 2026 Employment beginning in September 2026 About the Position The Omaha Symphony is seeking a Horn player for the position of Associate Principal Horn. This is a full time, tenure-track position. The Omaha Symphony’s 38-week season is stylistically diverse, and equal emphasis is placed on public performances and education/community engagement programs. Some travel will be required within the Omaha Metro area. Compensation and Benefits The annual base salary for this position in the 2026/2027 season is $52,563.31. Additional compensation includes an annual $1,000 electronic media guarantee and an optional nonconsecutive 39th week of work ($1,383.26), for a total annual salary of $54,946.57. Benefits include: paid personal, sick, & audition leave, a two-week paid holiday break in December, partially subsidized health, dental, and instrument insurance, and a 4% match on an employer-sponsored 403(b) retirement fund. The optional 39th week of work guarantees an additional in the 2026-27 season. Audition Process This will be a live, multi-round audition, held in Omaha at the Holland Performing Arts Center.
