Omaha Symphony to Bring 2025/26 Season Finale to Everyone!

Omaha Symphony to simulcast season finale at the Gene Leahy Mall and broadcast live with KVNO

OMAHA, Neb., May 27, 2026 – In celebration of Artistic Partner Ankush Kumar Bahl’s tenure as Music Director for five years, the Omaha Symphony’s final Masterworks concert, Bahl Conducts Mahler’s “Titan,” will be simulcast live at the Performance Pavilion at Gene Leahy Mall on May 30th at 7:30 p.m. The outdoor engagement will be hosted by Maestro Ernest Richardson and Jeff Koterba and is free and open to the public. There will be a large screen with concert footage projected on screen accompanied by live audio. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets.

Maestro Ankush Kumar Bahl will bring the 2025/26 season to a triumphant close with Mahler’s epic Symphony No. 1 “Titan.” Bahl has invited his close friend, New York Philharmonic Principal Clarinet Anthony McGill, to perform Copland’s Clarinet Concerto. The concert opens with Brahms’ Tragic Overture, a dramatic, sometimes turbulent short by the prolific composer.

In addition to presenting Saturday’s entire performance in the concert hall and on the lawn, KVNO 90.7FM Classical Radio will be broadcasting it live on their station.

Bahl Conducts Mahler’s “Titan” will be presented on Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30 at 7:30 p.m. Rehearsals will take place the week of the concert. Media is welcome to attend with prior notice.
