For 2023/24, in Maestro Ankush Kumar Bahl’s third season as Music Director, the Omaha Symphony expands upon the previous season’s focus on American composers and new works alongside beloved favorites, all presented with fresh context. Bahl has crafted concert programs with repertoire that spans many eras and geographies. The popular programming has also been bolstered this season to bring you some of the top-quality events in Omaha! Season Highlights
  • Music Director Ankush Kumar Bahl conducts eleven productions, including Beethoven 4 and Scheherazade
  • Legendary pop singer and multiple GRAMMY® Award-winner Michael Bolton will be singing all of his soulful ballads for one night only
  • Renowned rock star drummer, composer, and founder of The Police Stewart Copeland, will be showcasing his hits like "Roxanne" and "Message in a Bottle" along with siome of his original compositions

Masterworks

From Mozart to Montgomery, this series at the Holland Center highlights revered classics and groundbreaking masterpieces from both living and legacy composers, performed by the Omaha Symphony and featuring world-renowned guest artists.

Pops

Headlining performers, Broadway hits, vibrant world music, and American Songbook classics shine in concert with the Omaha Symphony.

Rocks

The Omaha Symphony presents and pays tribute to the greatest bands, classic albums, and favorite rock music of the '60s '70s, and '80s.

Symphony Joslyn

A series built for both classical diehards and new enthusiasts, this more casual and intimate matinee experience highlights soloists from the Omaha Symphony and features repertoire ranging from exciting deep cuts to established gems. Normally at the Joslyn Art Museum, this series is currently presented at Strauss Performing Arts Center on the UNO campus while the Joslyn is under construction (due 2024).

Movies

The Omaha Symphony brings your favorite film scores and soundtracks to life beneath the big screen in a movie experience beyond any other.

The Movies Series is sponsored by the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Family

Fun for everyone! This series features engaging and educational concerts made especially for younger audiences. Events are an hour long and come with lobby activities like performance-themed crafts, costume contests, an instrument “petting zoo” where children are be introduced to different instruments, and more!
