  • WAGNER: Siegfried Idyll

  • STRAVINSKY: Dumbarton Oaks

  • BEETHOVEN: Symphony No. 1

For the respect and consideration of all Omaha Symphony patrons, children under 5 years of age are prohibited from attending this performance.

It’s a symphony of soloists, beginning with Wagner’s tender Siegfried Idyll, written for his wife in honor of the birth of their son. Stravinsky takes to the Baroque with Dumbarton Oaks, imbibing the concerto grosso genre with his 20th century panache. Finally, Music Director of the Ann Arbor Symphony Earl Lee takes on Beethoven’s bold First Symphony, showcasing the composer’s brilliance from the very beginning.
