Spend an afternoon in the sunny Italian countryside in this lively program led by Maestro JoAnn Falletta. The journey begins with Peter Boyer’s Radiance, a very gentle and calm beginning to the concert. We continue with a gorgeous and masterfully written viola sonata by Rebecca Clarke, beautifully interpreted by Associate Principal Viola Tyler Sieh. After Martucci’s fantasy-like Nocturne, Maestro Falletta leads you to Italy in Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4, a 19th century romp that thrills from start to finish.
