Maestro José Luis Gómez leads the Omaha Symphony through a vibrant program full of 19th and 20th century pieces. Farrenc’s Overture No. 1 in E Minor, a work almost lost to history opens the concert. Associate Principal Cello Gregory Clinton’s elegant artistry shines in Kabalevsky’s Cello Concerto in G Minor, followed by Schubert’s youthful Symphony No. 4, composed when the prodigy was only nineteen.
