The Joslyn series begins with Tomasi’s epic Fanfares Liturgiques, a brass and percussion triumph. 20th century works for strings make up the heart of this program: Bartók’s energetic Divertimento and Villa-Lobos' ode to Johann Sebastian Bach. Soprano Sonya Headlam joins the Omaha Symphony for Barber’s lovely, nostalgic homage to childhood.

For the respect and consideration of all Omaha Symphony patrons, children under 5 years of age are prohibited from attending this performance.
