Student Dress Rehearsals
Go Behind the Music
Give students more than a concert experience. Attend a student dress rehearsal and gain exclusive access to the artistic journey behind a live performance.
Registrants receive a tailored preconcert presentation that provides context, connections, and listening tools for the music they will hear. Then, observe the orchestra in rehearsal as musicians and conductors collaborate, refine, and prepare for the concert. Many rehearsals also include opportunities to meet and learn from featured artists.
The conversation begins at 6:30, with groups required to arrive by 6:45 to be seated before rehearsal begins. Activities should conclude by 9:00pm. Students are welcome to stay through the end of rehearsal at 9:30pm.
For Scouts BSA: The September dress rehearsal satisfies the requirements for the Music Merit Badge, combining arts education, hands-on learning, and unforgettable musical experiences. Scouts must complete requirement 4 prior to attending and arrive at 6:00pm to cover all remaining requirements. Blue cards will be issued following a check in with the counselor before departing.
