Omaha Symphony to Perform John Williams’ Most Iconic Film Scores
Maestro Ernest Richardson will lead the orchestra and Résonance Festival Choir at The Award-Winning Music of John Williams
OMAHA, Neb., September 21, 2026 – Resident Conductor & Principal Pops Conductor Ernest Richardson will lead the Omaha Symphony and Résonance Festival Choir in two nights of performances featuring the Academy Award®-winning music of John Williams on October 3 and 4 at the Holland Center.
The Omaha Symphony kicks off its 2026/27 LIVE with the Omaha Symphony season with music from one of the most iconic composers of our time; from sweeping adventure themes to tender, heart-stirring melodies that have defined cinema's greatest moments. Maestro Ernest Richardson has invited the premier vocal ensemble Résonance Festival Choir to join the Symphony for this custom-curated concert, featuring music from films such as Schindler’s List, Star Wars, Jaws, E.T., and more! Concertmaster Susanna Perry Gilmore will be featured in Williams’ heart-rending theme to Schindler’s List, originally written for violinist Itzhak Perlman.
The Award-Winning Music of John Williams will be presented on Saturday, October 3 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 4 at 2:00 p.m. Rehearsals will take place the week of the concert. Media is welcome to attend with prior notice.

Tickets for The Award-Winning Music of John Williams start at $26. Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.omahasymphony.org or by calling Ticket Omaha at 402.345.0606. Student and teacher rush tickets are $10 and can be purchased 90 minutes before the performance. Performance dates are subject to change. In the event of performance changes or cancellations, the Omaha Symphony will email ticket holders to inform them of new dates and ticketing options.
