Program Info

  • G. ORTIZ: Antropolis

  • DE FALLA: Nights in the Garden of Spain

  • RACHMANINOFF: Symphonic Dances

Dance rhythms live at the heart of this Masterworks program by returning conductor Maurice Cohn. The thunder of timpani and percussion brings us from Ortiz's dance clubs of Mexico through Rachmaninoff’s overwhelming, frenzied Symphonic Dances. De Falla balances his series of dances, each more ferocious than the last, with color and beauty.

For the respect and consideration of all Omaha Symphony patrons, children under 5 years of age are prohibited from attending this performance.
