About the Position

The Omaha Symphony is seeking a Violin player for the position of Section Violin (Auxiliary). This position has a 70-service minimum. The Omaha Symphony’s 38-week season with optional 39th week is stylistically diverse, and equal emphasis is placed on public performances and education/community engagement programs. Some travel will be required within the Omaha Metro area.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary for this position in the 2026/2027 season is $12,683.30.

Benefits include: sick, leave, partially subsidized instrument insurance, and a 4% match on an employer-sponsored 403(b) retirement fund.

Audition Process

This will be a multi-round audition. Live Preliminary Rounds will be held on Monday August 24th 2026 – Tuesday August 25th 2026 , Semi- Final Rounds will be held on Tuesday August 25th 2026, and the Final Rounds on Wednesday August 26th, 2026, in Omaha at the Holland Performing Arts Center.

The submission of a résumé and deposit does not guarantee invitation. Candidates will be notified via email if they are being invited on July 27th, 2026. No electronic deposits will be accepted. A deposit must be sent to complete your application; it is used to hold a spot for you in the audition. It will be returned upon your arrival to the audition.

Omaha Symphony is not able to sponsor visas for international applicants.

Applicants must already be able to legally work in the United States.
