Native to Omaha, Nebraska, Rosario Galante joined the Omaha Symphony in 2023 as Assistant Principal, 2nd, and E-Flat clarinet. Previously, Rosario was the 2nd and E-Flat Clarinetist with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra. Additionally, Rosario has served as Guest Principal Clarinet with the Ohio Valley Symphony, and the Colgate Symphony Orchestra, and has also performed with the Omaha Chamber Music Society, the Syracuse Orchestra, the Springfield Symphony, Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra and the Des Moines Metro Opera. Prior to joining the Omaha Symphony, Rosario had also been a frequent substitute clarinetist with the orchestra since 2013. Rosario has also participated in the Sebango Long Lake Music Festival, the Round Top Festival Institute, and the Marrowstone Music festival. In addition to his performing career, Rosario is an avid teacher and maintains a private studio of clarinetists of all ages, and is a coach for the woodwind section of the Omaha Area Youth Orchestras. Rosario holds a Bachelor’s Degree and Performer’s Certificate from the Eastman School of Music, and a Master’s Degree from Northwestern’s Bienen School of Music.
