RELEASE: Omaha Symphony Announces Outdoor Concerts and Simulcasts

OMAHA, Neb., March 22, 2021— With the opening of Omaha Performing Arts’ Holland Center Outdoors venue, the Omaha Symphony is excited to announce four upcoming performances and simulcasts for audiences to enjoy as the weather gets warmer! Tickets are now on sale for the outdoor performances Billy McGuigan with the Symphony June 4-5 and Doo Wop Project June 18-19. Indoor performances Pink Martini May 9 and Wilkins Finale June 12 will also be simulcast to the Holland Center Outdoors for audience members wanting to enjoy these performances outside; tickets are now on sale for these outdoor performances and simulcasts.

“We’re thrilled to see the return of warmer weather and are excited to offer expanded options for Omahans to enjoy live orchestral music and sunshine,” said Omaha Symphony President & CEO Jennifer Boomgaarden. “These outdoor performances and simulcasts will allow us to safely bring more of our community together.”

Subscribers who have previously opted into the following performances will receive a confirmation email from Ticket Omaha shortly. Tickets can be purchased at omahasymphony.org. For a touchless experience, tickets will be delivered digitally and can be accessed via the Ticket Omaha app.

Note: The May 8 performance of Pink Martini and the June 11 performance of Wilkins Finale will be indoor only.

Located on the east lawn of the Holland Performing Arts Center at 12th and Dodge, the Holland Center Outdoors stage will feature socially distanced seating. Food and drink will be available for purchase at the venue. In the event of inclement weather, outdoor performances will be canceled. Simulcasts will be broadcast rain or shine.

Public Health Information

The Omaha Symphony continues to work in close partnership with Omaha Performing Arts and the Douglas County Department of Health to keep musicians, patrons, staff, and the community safe. The following safety measures will be implemented at the Holland Center Outdoors venue:

  • Masks are required to enter and when moving about
  • Food and drink must be consumed in your seat
  • Guests will follow directional signage
  • Blankets and chairs are not permitted
  • No outside food or drink
  • Security will provide touchless bag checks upon entry
  • Cash transactions will not be accepted
  • Shows will be reduced capacity unless otherwise noted
