Do Good Week
Our 100th Anniversary Season is in full swing, and the Omaha Symphony has continued to fulfill our mission of enriching the community through the power of live orchestral music. With safety and social distancing measures in place, we have been able to welcome musicians and audiences back to the Holland Performing Arts Center. From outdoor community concerts to the “Home for the Holidays” broadcast on WOWT to our re-imagined centennial season, your support has allowed us to be creative and responsive in the face of ever-changing circumstances.
Additionally, we’ve continued to find new and engaging ways to serve our schools and community during the pandemic: our education programs have been recorded safely and delivered to educators digitally; the musicians of the Omaha Symphony have been visiting classrooms virtually to hold workshops and sectionals with students; and we’ve launched and expanded our digital initiative, Symphony | Anywhere. Through the Symphony | Anywhere online platform, we have made a vast library of video lessons from the musicians of the Omaha Symphony available via our Virtual Classroom, which has allowed for at-home, accessible learning for all.
Only with your support can we continue this significant work. Your generosity will help the Omaha Symphony continue to present safe, live events, broaden our online presence for music lovers and music learners, and provide rewarding work for the musicians employed by our orchestra who live in and contribute to our community.
