About the Position

The Omaha Symphony is seeking a Horn player for the position of Section Horn – Per Service. This position has a 145 service minimum. The Omaha Symphony’s season is stylistically diverse, and equal emphasis is placed on public performances and education/community engagement programs. Some travel will be required within the Omaha Metro area.

Compensation and Benefits

The 2026/2027 season is 38 weeks. The service rate for this position in the 2026/27 season will be $181.19. Benefits include paid personal, sick, & audition leave, a two-week paid holiday break in December, optional 39th non-consecutive week of five services got a total guaranteed salary of $27,178.50, partially subsidized instrument insurance, and up to 4% match on an employer-sponsored 403(b) retirement fund.

Audition Process

This will be a multi-round audition. Live Preliminary and Semi- Final Rounds will be held on Monday May 11th, 2026, and the Final Round on Tuesday Mat 12th, 2026, in Omaha at the Holland Performing Arts Center.
