An ingenious mixture of learning, symphonic music, and fun-filled discovery to ignite your students’ creative spark!

A partnership with the Joslyn Art Museum

Middle School & High school | $15 Per Student

October 14 - 16, 2025 | Joslyn Art Museum

Celebrate Creativity is a dynamic, day-long experience for middle and high school students that brings music, visual art, and other creative pursuits together in one immersive event. Students build their own personalized itinerary filled with hands-on workshops, a gallery tour, and a live symphony concert—each designed to spark imagination and creative thinking.

Led by top local arts professionals and created in partnership with the Joslyn Arts Museum, these exploratory sessions allow students to engage directly with industry experts in an inspiring, collaborative environment. All activities take place in the same space as the concert performance, showing how the arts are interconnected and essential.

About the Program

“Designed by students?”

After a class is registered by their teacher, students will complete workshop request forms. These forms are then used by Omaha Symphony staff to create personalized schedules for each student. Each student will participate in two workshops and a curated experience in a Joslyn art gallery.

“What are these workshops?”

We enlist the expertise of local industry professionals to teach hands-on exploratory sessions in an array of subjects, including dance, theatre, and visual art.

“Students get to do all that AND go to a concert?”

Following a brown bag lunch, students get to participate in an innovative Omaha Symphony concert that inspires and challenges their notions of art and symphonic music.

High Schools

We encourage high schools to attend on Wednesday, October 15. Schedules are created to group similar age groups together as much as possible.
