Jeremy Castro Baguyos is in restless pursuit of the refinement of musical expression and the outer limits of creative possibility, often mediated through digital representation/transformation and cogent interdisciplinary sensibilities. His most recent stop in this journey has him serving on the double bass & music technology faculty of the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Before becoming a tenured professor at a research university, he had an extensive orchestral career, highlighted by performances with the bass sections of the Washington National Opera/KCOHO, National Symphony, Kansas City Symphony, Milwaukee Symphony, Shreveport Symphony, and Des Moines Opera. He earned a BM from Indiana University, studying with Bruce Bransby, and a MM from Peabody/Johns Hopkins University.

He enjoys watching his children grow up & thrive, chilling with his beagle, and visiting Atlanta, GA, where his wife Sara is the Associate Principal Librarian of the Atlanta Symphony.
