Marketing Coordinator

Position Summary:
The Omaha Symphony is looking for a detail-oriented, creative, innovative, and enthusiastic Marketing Coordinator to join our Marketing and Communications Department! This individual will play a key role in coordinating projects and processes to achieve marketing and sales goals. This position provides support for all sales and marketing functions and is highly collaborative. This individual must have strong written and verbal communication skills to assist with various functions including email-building, graphic design, public relations, social media, advertising, as well as interacting with patrons and the public. We’re looking for someone who is highly organized and driven to create, complete challenging projects, and achieve ambitious goals.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Tracking and coordinating marketing activities for promoting and selling tickets to live performances as well as digital content
- Coordinating project deliverables, objectives and timelines for the team
- Maintaining digital assets for the marketing department for departmental use as well as the rest of the staff including logos, photos and documents
- Assisting the Assistant Director, and other departments, with graphics
- Creating, editing, reviewing and delivering digital assets to internal and external stakeholders
- Engaging patrons via phone, email, social, and in-person at concerts
- Maintaining an inventory and directory of marketing materials, ensuring all resources are accurate and current while coordinating new material creation as needed
- Generating and maintaining patron lists for targeted promotions through various channels
General Support:
- Proofread marketing collateral and other material
- Participate in the evening and/or weekend concert duty rotation
- Other duties as assigned
Experience and Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence in a creative environment
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for representing organizations at public events, over the phone, and through written communications
- Project management experience and time-management skills for juggling numerous time-sensitive projects simultaneously. Being familiar with project management applications such as Trello is a plus
- Good computer skills for generating reports, viewing marketing metrics, extracting data and sharing this information with other team members in project updates or using the data to make informed decisions and changes in emails
- Experience in creating and sending emails in digital platforms like Wordfly or MailChimp
- Working knowledge of basic computer applications, programs and features is a must with experience in web page development or graphic design being very helpful
- Having the ability to provide information on previous campaigns, projects and timelines overseen and implemented in order to demonstrate overall capabilities
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Products
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects, manage time efficiently, be resourceful and effectively implement feedback
- The ability to work creatively and collaboratively within small teams
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field or 4 years of relevant experience
- 1+ years in marketing, sales, or similarly related work

- 1+ years in marketing, sales, or similarly related work

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Required to sit for extended periods of time
- Requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate, but can get loud
Equipment/Machinery Used:
- General Office Equipment (Computer, Telephone, Fax, Copier, Printer)
- Cameras, Banners, Tables, Stands, Large-screen monitors, etc.
Compensation:
Pay: $42,000 - $45,000 per year commensurate with experience. Benefits package includes medical and dental insurance, retirement match as well as paid vacation and flexible personal days. Full-time, exempt.
