Lose yourself in a festival of mystical and romantic tales from Russian folklore, French exoticism, and American adventure. The January 11 program includes suites from Prokofiev’s Lieutenant Kijé and Stravinsky’s The Firebird, and features pathbreaking harpist Ann Hobson Pilot in music by Debussy and Ravel. The January 19 program offers Copland’s Billy the Kid Suite and Gershwin’s An American in Paris, plus Omaha Symphony Concertmaster Susanna Perry Gilmore steps into the spotlight in works of uncommon beauty and fire by Massenet and Ravel.
