OMAHA, Neb., Jan. 21, 2015- Nobody does it better than the Omaha Symphony with a group of Broadway entertainers, who together will perform The Music of Marvin Hamlisch: One Singular Sensation, Saturday, Jan. 31, 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 1, 2 p.m., at the Holland Performing Arts Center.  

Conducted by Ernest Richardson, this Symphony Pops concert will feature the best of the award-winning composer’s lifetime of memorable songs, including music from his Pulitzer Prize-winning musical A Chorus Line, Sophie’s Choice, “The Way We Were,” “Nobody Does It Better,” “One Song,” and “What I Did For Love.” Broadway singers Donna McKechnie (Tony Award winner for A Chorus Line), Doug LeBrecque (Broadway’s Phantom of the Opera), and Jodi Benson (Disney’s Ariel in The Little Mermaid) will join the symphony, as well as the Omaha Symphonic Chorus and the Creighton University Chamber Choir.
