  • PRESS RELEASE: Symphony Rocks series opens with the soulful sounds of Motown’s Greatest Hits

OMAHA, Neb., Oct. 14, 2014- The Motown sound is coming to the Omaha Symphony with Motown’s Greatest Hits opening the Symphony Rocks series, Saturday, Oct. 25, 7:30 p.m., at the Holland Performing Arts Center. 

Conducted by Ernest Richardson, Motown’s Greatest Hits will feature songs from legendary Motown artists of the 1960s and 1970s, such as the Jackson 5, The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, and Gladys Knight & and the Pips. Vocalists Mandy Gonzalez, Joy Lyn Jacobs, and Destan Owens join the orchestra to heat up the Holland Center with hits like “The Tracks of My Tears,” “I Heard it Through the Grapevine,” “For Once in My Life,” “Respect,” “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” “Stop! In the Name of Love,” and “ABC.”
