Fire up your thinking caps, and go beyond the music to conduct an experiment in SOUND!
What is sound? How are we able to hear it? How is sound actually produced? Harnessing their knowledge of the scientific method, students will hypothesize, test, and discover conclusions to these questions and more as they investigate the nature of sound waves and acoustics in a live concert experiment - but that’s not all! Be witness to how technology can fuse with the sound of a symphony orchestra to create a performance like your students have never seen or heard before.
The innovative tradition of Margre Durham Concerts for Youth continues with the seamless integration of music and academic curriculums, dazzling visual media, and engaging interactive structures.
