Prepare for an orchestral odyssey where music and language collide and students hone their quills and imaginations to become accomplished story tellers!
Working with actors and music, students will explore elements of literature, discover how music can depict a story, and pen their very own symphonic tale. Musical selections include the timeless tragedy of Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet, the comedic antics of Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and the enchanting music of John Williams’ Harry Potter.
The innovative tradition of Margre Durham Concerts for Youth continues with the seamless integration of music and academic curriculums, dazzling visual media, and engaging interactive structures.
