Eric Ewazen’s Symphony in Brass brings our brass and percussion sections to the forefront, before Christi Zuniga shines in Piston’s dancing, stellar Concertino for Piano and Orchestra. The string section and William Grant Still’s Mother and Child will provide a moment of pure beauty to the program, before Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 thrills with its robust and frolicking melodies.
