About the Position
The Omaha Symphony is seeking a highly qualified musician to play Viola beginning in the 2022-2023 season. This is a per-service, tenure track position. The Omaha Symphony’s concert season is stylistically diverse, and equal emphasis is placed on public performances and education/engagement programs.
Compensation and Benefits
This position guarantees 70 services per year. The per-service rate for the 2022-2023 season is $138.90. The annual guaranteed compensation is $9,723.00. Benefits include paid sick leave, partially subsidized instrument insurance, and up to a 4% match on an employer-sponsored 403(b) retirement fund.
Audition Process
This will be a standard, multi-round audition. All rounds will be held on Tuesday, May 24th, 2022 in Omaha. If the position is filled by a current member of the orchestra, the runner-up may be offered the resulting vacancy.
